Which Blue Lagoon transfer do you need?

Fit your Blue Lagoon slot to your flight
Entry to the lagoon is by timed slot, and the slot has to be booked before the car. The figures below are planning guidance from our drive times, not a guarantee: passport control and baggage vary by flight, and the lagoon asks guests to arrive within their slot window.
Arriving at Keflavík
Allow an hour to ninety minutes from landing to leaving the terminal on a busy arrival, then about 25 minutes of driving and 20 minutes to be at the entrance before your time. In practice: book a slot at least two hours after your scheduled landing. If the flight is late, your driver is still there; the slot is the part you cannot move.
Leaving from Reykjavík
About 50 minutes of driving plus 20 minutes at the entrance: set the pickup for roughly seventy minutes before your slot. Flying out afterwards? Be at Keflavík two and a half hours before an international departure, and the lagoon is about 25 minutes from the terminal.

Private transfer or the Blue Lagoon bus?
The scheduled buses charge per seat and leave on a timetable from a terminal or the kerb outside arrivals. A private transfer charges per vehicle and leaves when you land or when you choose, from the arrivals hall or your hotel door, with the luggage in the car. For one person the bus is cheaper; from about three people, once you count every seat, the private car is usually the cheaper option per head, and it is the only one that waits for a late flight. - No. Every price on this page is for transport only. Book your entry separately at bluelagoon.com. Entry is by timed slot, so book the lagoon first, then choose a transfer time that gets you there around 20 minutes before it.
- Is the price per person or per vehicle?
- Per vehicle. The price covers the whole Volkswagen Caravelle for up to 8 passengers and their luggage, in two tiers: one price for up to 4 passengers and a higher one for 5 to 8. The cost per person falls as your group grows.
- What happens if my flight is delayed?
- Your driver tracks the flight and the pickup moves with it. Waiting for a late arrival costs nothing extra and you do not need to call. Add your flight number at checkout so we can follow it.
- How long do we get at the lagoon on a round trip?
- Round trips are scheduled as 4 hours door to door. From the airport that leaves about 3.3 hours at the lagoon; from Reykjavík about 2.3 hours. Tell your driver if you have booked a longer package and we will plan the return around it.
- Do you have child seats?
- Yes. Child seats are available for the vehicle. Enter the number of children when you book and add their ages in the pickup details, so the right seats are fitted before we collect you.
- Can I cancel or change the booking?
- Cancellations are accepted up to 48 hours before the scheduled service, as set out in our cancellation policy; a booking cannot be cancelled inside that window. To move a date or time, contact us as early as you can and we will do our best to accommodate it.
