Before you land

The route

Leaving the airport you join Route 41, Reykjanesbraut, which runs the full 50 km between Keflavík and Reykjavík across the lava fields of the Reykjanes peninsula. About twenty minutes from the airport the road passes the turn-off for Grindavík and the Blue Lagoon, then enters the capital area through Hafnarfjörður, Garðabær and Kópavogur. In normal conditions the drive takes around 50 minutes; in winter weather or at the morning rush it can take longer, and your driver plans for it.

  The four of us used Iceland Shuttles for a transfer from Keflavík Airport to Reykjavík. Our flight from Canada was delayed, but the driver was tracking our flight and met us at the arrival gate with a sign. They were patient, professional, and friendly. The car was also very clean. The price was great, especially because the driver took us directly from the airport to our door. It was much quicker and more convenient than taking the airport bus, which drops you off at a station where you then have to take another form of transportation. We would definitely use Iceland Shuttles again!

Yes. Child seats are available for the vehicle. Enter the number of children when you book and add their ages in the pickup details, so the right seats are fitted before we collect you.

Can I cancel or change the booking?

Cancellations are accepted up to 48 hours before the scheduled service, as set out in our cancellation policy; a booking cannot be cancelled inside that window. To move a date or time, contact us as early as you can and we will do our best to accommodate it.
